St John’s of Otumoetai has been part of the Tauranga scene since the mid 1950’s. We combine an emphasis on being the local Anglican centre for the
Brookfield/Otumoetai/Matua peninsula, with a welcome to anyone from the wider Tauranga area who is looking for a warm and accepting welcome.
We encourage a theological emphasis that is progressive, inclusive, open, and questioning, retaining a deep respect for scripture and Anglican traditions.
We are deeply committed tocommunity outreach, especially through the Bureta Rd Community Centre, with its Toy Library and Playgroup programmes.
