The domain Tauranga.co.nz was purchased in 1997 with the vision to build this portal site. Over the next decade or so the concept of Tauranga.co.nz website came together and formed itself into its current incarnation. This website aims to be the most visited website in the Western Bay of Plenty area, offering a host of features and information to visitors.

Tauranga.co.nz is a private company invested in by local shareholders. Website development and maintenance is handled by Cohesion Communications Ltd, another local company that have undertaken website development and branding for more than 11 years.

Tauranga.co.nz is proudly independent and has no alliances with any governmental agency or other companies.
