The Papamoa Beach walkway follows the beachfront and provides lovely sea views. It is part of a large coastal reserve area and is popular for its recreational activities.

A good starting point is the Papamoa Domain. From here you can stroll along the beachfront to Pacific View Road beach access. Cross over Papamoa Beach Road and follow along Pacific View Road to the Hartford Drainage Reserve. The reserve walkway is less than one kilometre in length and is well planted with native plants.

From here follow the walkway to Gravatt Road and then back down Domain Road to return to the starting point.

There are three childrens playgrounds within walking distance from the beachfront. The first is the Hartford Avenue Reserve accessed from Hartford Avenue. There is a variety of play equipment from a multi-structure slide with climbing combinations to tyre swings. The Waterford Downs Reserve is another attractive spot situated on the corner of Grenada Street and Pacific View Road and has a well developed childrens playground and BBQs. There is also a playground within the Royal Palm Beach Drainage Reserve area.
