This peaceful reserve features native plantings and is home to a variety birds, making it a pleasant spot for walking or cycling.


WALKING TIME

30 minutes return to starting point at Beaumaris Boulevard playground


The 60-hectare reserve is being developed into an oasis of native plants and wetlands located between the Mayfield subdivision in Bethlehem and the suburb of Brookfield.

More than two kilometres of walkways wind through this reserve including 230 metres of boardwalk lined with native plants. These walkways provide excellent walking and cycling links between Bethlehem, Brookfield and Bellevue. Enjoy the peace and quiet as you wonder along and watch the many birds that flock to the reserve. The development of the Gordon Carmichael Reserve began in 2002 with the formation of stormwater ponds at the northern and southern end of the reserve.
