Rubbish Bag Collection


Council provides three choices of rubbish bags available from supermarkets and some dairies.
Our black plastic bags come with the sticker attached and are sold in bundles of 5.
For those who prefer the strength of paper these bags can still be used but remember to attach a sticker.

T.C.C Rubbish Bags must be:

  • Regulation bag.
  • Placed at the kerbline (or edge of seal where there is no kerb) by 7.30am on Collection day
  • Visible, placed well clear of obstacles such as letter boxes, poles and trees
  • Secured tied or fastened
  • Sharp objects must be wrapped before being placed in the bag to prevent injury to collectors.
  • No liquids of hot ashes
  • Weigh less than 15kg

Monday

Mount Maunganui, Arataki, Omanu, Matapihi

Tuesday

Papamoa, Maungatapu

Wednesday

TGA Central, TGA South, Gate Pa, Judea Sth, Bethlehem, Tauriko, Te Reti

Thursday

Greerton, Pyes Pa, Poike, Hairini, Welcome Bay, Ohauiti

Friday

Matua, Otumoetai, Bellevue, Brookfield, Judea North

Rubbish bags are NOT collected on

  • Good Friday (Easter)
  • Christmas Day
  • Occasionally New Years Day

The collection is usually the following working day, eg Easter Saturday etc
Normal collection on all other public holidays.

There is NO collection:

  • From private ways
  • Of used oil packs, hot ashes or liquids
