A pre-letting checklist for landlords


Things to do before you start renting out your property

  1. Establish the market rent for your property
  2. Decide the wording for your advertisement
  3. Complete maintenance or repairs need
  4. Opena separate bank account ready for the rent
  5. Check your insurance
  6. Get a pre-tenancy application form
  7. Get a tenancy agreement
  8. Get a bond lodgement form
  9. Set up tradesperson for repairs
  10. Enrol in a credit check company
  11. Consider joining a local property investor association
