The club meets every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 9.15am at the Guide/Scout Hall in May Street for an hour of either walking or running a scenic route at the Mount. Three ten week training programmes are provided each year for beginning runners. The walking group finishes with a coffee and chat at a Mount Cafe while the runners generally meet at a venue that caters to children. With ages ranging from early thirties through to early and mid seventies age (or ability) is not a barrier. Its all about fun and health.
Age is not a restriction
This organisation aims to get people active by enjoying the abundance of walkways in and around the Bay of Plenty. It co-ordinates walking groups and provides maps of popular tracks.
