For many children, school is a supportive and fun place where they extend their minds and spend time with their friends. However, for some children, school isn’t always a pleasant place to be because of bullying from other children. Bullying takes many forms, is harmful and should always be actively discouraged.

Use this section to find out what bullying is – including text bullying - and to find out how you can help your child who is being bullied or is a bully themselves.

You could also download the new 'Step up, be safe' guide for coping with bullying, (pdf 1.024mb) written by students for students. (NOTE: If you can’t or don’t wish to download the guide,Support for your child outlines the topics covered.)
